Doja Cat "Scarlet Experience" X Spotify
I’ve been working on interactive experiences between film work. In this project for Doja Cat’s “Scarlet Experience” with Spotify, partnered with RCA record label, we made an abandon lab in an empty store front. A Doja Cat replica was submerged in a water tank that would defrost and drain over the course of 12 hours as a count down to her new album release "Scarlet”. The undisclosed location was revealed via her Instagram. She made an appearance into the lab as the count down was nearly finished and her fans patiently waited outside. We worked with an AV team to display live feeds from around the lab into old tv monitors propped into the set. As viewers walked by the exterior windows of the lab they could additionally see themselves in the live feeds through the old monitors. The countdown live feeds from around the lab were also viewed in Times Square, NYC. Shortly after Doja Cat made her appearance, she live painted within the lab for her fans.
